Gold Coast Plasterboard Repairs

Holes & Damage
Small dents and screw holes get filled and sanded. Anything up to about fist size gets a mesh patch bridged and coated. Larger openings get a plasterboard insert screwed to backing timber, taped and set properly. Choosing the right one of those three matters more than people expect, because a mesh patch stretched over a hole that is too big will crack again within a year. We size the repair to the damage and tell you which it is before starting.
Cracks That Keep Coming Back
A crack that returns through fresh filler is a failed joint, not a filler problem, and it needs the joint raked out, re-taped and re-set rather than another skim. Cracking that arrives together with sticking doors or windows is a different matter entirely — that is movement, and no filler fixes movement. We will tell you plainly which of the two you have, and where it looks structural we say so rather than sell you a patch that will fail.
Water-Stained Ceilings
Ceilings marked by a roof leak, a blocked gutter or a bathroom above need the source fixed first, then the stain sealed with a stain-blocking primer before any topcoat. Skipping the primer is why so many painted-over stains reappear within months. Where the board has gone soft or sagged, that section comes out and gets replaced rather than filled — storm damage repairs often start here.
Painting To Match
A perfect patch still looks like a patch if the paint does not match, so we finish the repair properly. On a wall with a known colour we cut in and roll the affected area to a natural break; where the existing paint has faded or the colour is long gone, we will recommend taking the wall corner to corner rather than leaving you with a visible halo.
